POLICY #18 (APPOINTMENT OF DESIGNATED SENIOR ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATORS)

On December 5, 2016, the President approved amendments to the Procedures under Policy #18 (Appointment of Designated Senior Academic Administrators). Policy #18 is the joint Board/Senate policy that governs the process for appointing designated senior academic administrators. The Policy requires the use of advisory committees to inform the selection process. The composition of the committees is set out in the Procedures, which may be amended by the President. In order to accommodate the creation of the new position of Vice-Provost, International, and the system-wide role that the Vice-Provost, International is intended to fill, the President has approved amendments to the Procedures to establish an advisory committee as follows:
