Contracts requiring the signature of senior officers of the University under Resolution #1 are normally submitted to the Office of the University Counsel for review. After passing legal review the Office will arrange for the contract to be signed by the appropriate senior officers of the University. Please note that the review is from a legal perspective only and does not include an assessment of the business case underlying the transaction. The head of the academic or administrative unit wishing to have the contract executed is responsible for ensuring that the contract fits within its business and operational requirements. The head must be prepared to recommend execution of the contract and support the recommendation with a brief case statement. In order to facilitate this process, a Request for Contract Review Form (PDF Format) should be completed, signed and attached to all contracts sent to the Office of the University Counsel for review and signature.
